EDUCATION
　　Below are the requirements to apply for a CPA license in New Jersey. The requirements differ depending on the date you completed your education.
　　If you completed your education BEFORE July 1, 2000:
　　In order to be eligible under the “old rules,” ALL of the following requirements must have been completed prior to July 1, 2000:
　　- Bachelor’s degree
　　– Twenty-four (24) semester hours in Accounting
　　– Six (6) semester hours in Business Law
　　– Six (6) semester hours in Finance
　　– Six (6) semester hours in Economics
　　– Eighteen (18) semester hours in business-related subjects
　　– Sixty (60) semester hours in liberal arts courses
　　If you completed your education AFTER July 1, 2000:
　　- One hundred and fifty (150) semester hours of education
　　Plus ONE of the following options:
　　Option 1:
　　Graduate degree with a concentration in accounting from an accounting program which has been granted accreditation by AACSB or ACBSP program
　　Option 2a:
　　Graduate degree in business from an accredited AACSB or ACBSP program
　　Fifteen (15) semester hours in accounting at the graduate level to include financial accounting, audit, tax and management accounting
　　Option 2b:
　　Graduate degree from a business school or college of business which has been granted accreditation by AACSB or ACBSP
　　Twenty-four (24) semester hours in accounting at the undergraduate/graduate level
　　Option 3:
　　Bachelor’s degree from a business school or college of business which has been granted accreditation by AACSB or ACBSP
　　Twenty-four (24) semester hours in accounting (undergraduate/graduate) to include financial accounting, audit, tax and management accounting
　　Twenty-four (24) semester hours in business related subjects at the undergraduate level
　　Option 4:
　　Bachelor’s degree
　　Thirty (30) semester hours in accounting to include financial accounting, audit, tax and management accounting
　　Twenty-four (24) hours in business-related subjects at the undergraduate or graduate level
